DEMA-Construct is a machinery construction company specialising in machinery for bulk goods transport, such as there are conveyors, receiving hoppers and related machinery.
Our activities can be divided into two main branches. On the one hand, we have a standard range of machines mainly intended for the agricultural sector. These are machines for storing & unloading, cleaning and sorting potatoes, onions, carrots and other tuber crops. Machines such as a receiving hopper, telescopic, web sorter or box filler are just a handful from our standard range.
A second main activity are custom-made products for industry, among others. These are usually custom-made conveyor belts and receiving hoppers for, for example, concrete plants, waste processing, biomass, etc. For such assignments, the customer can count on us from design to delivery and we can also be responsible for creating the required supporting structures and platforms or as integrator of external parties' machines.

After 15 years of experience in a similar industry, Freddy Dereckx took matters into his own hands in 1989 and founded DEMA-Construct. From day one, he specialised in building conveyor belts and storage lines.
In November 2015, the company was taken over by two young, motivated people: Arne De Baene and Dries Descamps. Arne previously worked as a service engineer in a similar industry and Dries as a project and automation engineer in a company specialised in industrial automation. Their aim is to bring both worlds together and integrate them as added value in their company. The company has its origins in Ypres and even after the take-over, we remained active at the same location.
Because of our annual growth, the buildings in Ypres soon became too small and in order to further respond to the ever-evolving market, DEMA-Construct moved at the end of 2018 to a brand-new location at Frankrijklaan 24 in Poperinge, with a modern office area and a brand-new workplace.
